Sherwood Young Artists

Sherwood Young Artists, located within the Nottingham City Council area in Nottingham, offers exceptional children's art classes for ages 5-18. This highly regarded centre supports young artists in developing confidence, creative expression, and a wide range of artistic skills through diverse projects and courses. The curriculum encourages participants to experiment with numerous artistic media, materials, and techniques, from chalk and charcoal drawings inspired by Nottinghamshire architecture to batik, ink, collages, and mono prints. Children also discover a wide range of different artists, designers, and creative practitioners, broadening their artistic horizons. Clear skill development pathways are provided, guiding students through structured Arts Awards from Discover to Gold, and offering comprehensive DofE Art Courses with 3-month and 6-month options. This structured progression helps children consistently advance their artistic abilities across diverse materials and techniques.
